JESSIE YOUNG BURSARY
DESCRIPTION
The Jessie Young Bursary was established to promote continuing professional education in line with the mission and vision of C.A.N.N. This bursary provides financial support to qualified nurses to pursue additional training in neuroscience nursing.
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
- This bursary is open to registered nurses who have worked in neurosciences and are members of C.A.N.N. in good standing for at least two years.
- The program or course of study for the Jessie Young Bursary must have a clear neuroscience focus or component.
- Successful candidate(s) must agree to write a letter to be published in the CJNN describing how completion of the course will advance neuroscience nursing.
Application process:
- Complete an application form.
- Provide proof of acceptance into the educational program or course of study for which the bursary is being sought.
- Provide evidence for the amount of registration fees.
- Provide proof of current registration with provincial nursing association.
- Have a person who has had the opportunity to assess your work complete the professional reference form. Acceptable referees include:
- another member of C.A.N.N.
- manager
- educator (institution or hospital)
Application deadline:
- The closing date for receipt of applications for the Jessie Young Bursary is April 1st of each year.
