Membership Report
May 2010
Greetings from Membership!
You will be gearing up for what looks like a great conference for Quebec City!
Congratulations to the Manitoba for the fantastic teamwork!
Way to go!
Numbers for membership renewals are down again as so often happens at this time of year compared to midyear.
I encourage the provincial councillors to contact your membership and encourage them to renew their membership as I found last year that I got many late membership renewals following last year’s conference.
Don’t get me wrong! I am happy to receive memberships but it would be ideal to have a true reflection of our membership numbers at the AGM!
Online membership numbers continue to go up which is great and it is evident that you are finding it a fast and convenient payment option.
I would like to take this opportunity to ask that you go through the C.A.N.N. website and fill out the online membership form before going on to the paypal site as I found several renewing members who had an existing paypal account went directly to paypal thereby bypassing having to fill out a membership form which leaves me having to frequently check the paypal website as the server is not required to let me know that a payment has been made unless you go through the C.A.N.N. website first.
Membership forms can be downloaded from the C.A.N.N. website for those who send me a cheque!
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support as I retire from my three-year posting as Membership Chairperson and also contemplate retiring from Nursing in the near future!
I will miss receiving your “spring renewal” notes telling me what you are up to and hope you will keep in touch via email or Facebook!
I look forward to keeping up-to-date with the goings-on in the Neurosciences community and I look forward to seeing you in June in Quebec City!
Respectfully Submitted;
Jeanne Evans, RN, BScN, CNN
