Greetings from Membership!

I’m sure the majority of you are gearing up to head to Vancouver, BC for this year’s AGM & Scientific Sessions. This being the busiest time of year for membership I am doing my best to get your membership cards & packages to you as soon as possible. I am still receiving renewals daily.

So far I have received & processed 47 new members & 148 renewals for the 2011-12 membership year. To date our total membership for CANN is 195 members (many members have not yet renewed their membership).

I have sent each of the provincial councillors an up-to-date list of their members & have identified members who have not yet renewed – I encourage councillors to give one more push for renewals before the June conference – it is important that we have an accurate membership list for the June conference.

I am always happy to receive memberships anytime but it would be ideal to have a true reflection of our membership numbers at the AGM!

Online membership numbers continue to be on the rise which is great and it is evident that you are finding it a fast and convenient payment option.

When renewing or joining online please go through the C.A.N.N. website and fill out the online membership form before going on to the PayPal site. When members go directly to the PayPal site (and bypass the CANN website) I do not receive a membership form & am not directly notified (PayPal does not notify me unless you go through the CANN website first).

Membership forms can be downloaded from the C.A.N.N. website for those who prefer to pay by cheque! Make sure you are using a new membership form with my name & address on it (there are still old forms in circulation). Looking forward to seeing you in Vancouver!!
