Scientific Committee Report
December 2011
Overall the 42nd Annual Scientific Sessions in Vancouver were very successful. The Scientific Committee members met many challenges, especially related to the dearth of abstract submissions and deadline extensions, and put together an excellent scientific program. As in previous years, CANN members from across the country answered our call for more abstracts, and their support was much appreciated. We had a total of 40 oral concurrent presentations, two plenary sessions (with guest speakers), two award presentations and seven poster presentations. Special thanks go to Theresa Green, our CJNN editor for her valuable input and patience. Janice Nesbitt, past Scientific Chair, was also amazingly supportive and encouraging during challenging times. This was a rewarding experience for all of us involved in the organization, and one we hope all attendees enjoyed. We look forward to Ottawa in June 2012!
Respectfully submitted,
