ThinkFirst Report
May 2007
The Think Firsters have been very busy these last 6 months.
We have started to form a relationship with Safe Communities Nationally which will create a good ThinkFirst/Safe Community Coalition.
We will have great success this year again hosting the upcoming Walmart Helmet fitting clinics nationally on June 14, and any CANN members interested in volunteering with us contact our national office.
We remain active in our School Curriculum and presentations nationally.
A lot of our Chapters partner with local police who help with bike rodeos and helmet and biking safety.
We have continued to hand out all across Canada our 2-V-1 Helmet fitting cards with great success.
And of course, our Jello Brains and Our New Egg Drop Helmets are a hit and leave an impression.
On a sad note our Executive Director Jim Russell has left Thinkfirst and will be greatly missed, he has been a great Think Firster.
In closing, we all can make a difference if we can share our knowledge and expertise in helping prevent injuries to our youth by teaching them the safe way to play, be it recreational or organized, and providing them with the tools they need to Thinkfirst , so contact myself your new ThinkFirst representative.
We make a difference.
Kind regards.
