Trudy Robertson MSN, CNN(C), RN
Past President
Trudy Robertson began her nursing career as a Licensed Practical Nurse in 1980 and worked in a variety of health care setting. She continued her nursing education and has achieved a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing and a Master Degree in Nursing from the University of British Columbia. She has maintained certification in neuroscience nursing by the Canadian Nurses Association since 2008. Trudy was the principle investigator of a clinical neuroscience nursing research study in oral care published in the Canadian Journal of Neuroscience Nursing in 2013 which was awarded the Codman award for excellence in neuroscience nursing research. She co-led a qualitative neuroscience nursing research study in missed care which was award the CANN Marlene Reimer Research Award in 2014. Trudy has been a member of CANN since 2003 and has served on the Board of Directors as Councilor for B.C., Vice-President, President and currently serving as Past-President. She has served as Scientific Chair, served on CANN conference scientific committees, and co-authored the 2022 CANN Standards of Practice. She remains an active volunteer in many neuroscience community activities across Canada. Trudy currently works in Fraser Health, B.C. as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Neurosciences with a focus on Stroke/Neurology.
