Ava McLeod, BScN, RN

Ava McLeod is a Registered Nurse working in the Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit based in Edmonton. She graduated from the University of Alberta nursing program in 2024 and has been working in neuroscience ever since. She is passionate about teaching, and worked with a volunteer program in University called NeuroReach, where she presented on neuroscience topics at highschools. After joining CANN, she developed an interest in promoting the profession and being involved in her chapter by writing newsletters and managing the Alberta North instagram page. During the 2026 conference, she co-presented on the topic of Stroke and Endovascular Thrombectomy, and accepted the role of Communications and Marketing Chair for CANN.
