I have been a CANN member and CNA certified Neuroscience Nurse since 2006. I have had the past privilege of serving on the CANN Board of Directors as Program Chair for Banff 2014, AB South Councillor, and Communications and Marketing Committee chair. Working in Calgary, AB at the Foothills Medical Centre with Neurology and Neurosurgery inpatient populations since graduating from the University of Calgary in 1998, I am currently Clinical Nurse Educator for the Acute Stroke Unit. I have a passion for supporting equity, diversity, and inclusion in my work and home lives. I have recently been invited to a Communication Access leadership group provincially, supporting both patient/family, and staff experience where I bring the Nursing lens, and can make a difference! At home I have a husband and two adult children (still living with us while in post- secondary school), plus a number of furry friends (dogs, cats, rabbits) depending on our current fosters with a local animal rescue.
