-
- A majority of the organization’s members are health-care professionals with an interest or expertise in a particular area of neuroscience nursing or care of the neuroscience patient.
- The Affiliate Society’s organizational identity promotes the recognition and advancement of a specific discipline of the neurological sciences.
- The Affiliate Society agrees to contribute to the continuing professional development of CANN’s membership by participating or contributing to continuous learning activities or other CANN activities related to their special area of expertise.
- The Affiliate Society agrees that, while fostering and promoting the objectives of the CANN, its independent programs and activities will not interfere with the activities of CANN, particularly the Annual General Meeting and Scientific Sessions
The Affiliate Societies work collaboratively with the CANN whenever possible throughout the year. The CANN values and appreciates these partnerships.
CANN is an active member association of the Canadian Network of Nursing Specialties within the Canadian Nurses Association (CNA), the World Federation of Neuroscience Nurses (WFNN), and is recognized as a specialty practice group with provincial regulatory colleges.
